How Wrong Would It Be?

As most everyone knows I own a 2000 Volvo V70R which I am desperately trying to sell. One thing I did (and now kinda regret) is put 4 brand new Dunlop tires on it (to the sum of about $500 all in). The car came with two spares on stock S70 rims and the one full size in the trunk. Would it be wrong if I went to the junkyard and got two more similar S70 wheels and swapped them on? I feel that at my price of around $1600, no one cares that its an R now. But I could take the rims and tires and maybe sell them alone. Is this wrong?

I think it could work. Hell even if I sell the whole car for $1250 and get $500 for the 4 Satellites on the new Dunlops Id be happy

At this point, anything you need to do to get out of it with a minimum loss is fair game. If you're having trouble closing a buyer, you can always offer to throw in a combination of wheels/tires. Had 8 OEM wheels when I sold my '87 300D. The guy paid my price because of that, and because I'd overmaintained the car.

Exactly...

And the way I need to look at it now is the fact that I'm spending $500 every 6 months to insure it. If I sell it for $500 less than I want, it'll equal out when its off my insurance!

The Dunlop SP Sport Signature is an awesome tire! I used to have these on my car.

I kinda want to put them on my Civic but Satellite rims on a Civic seems a bit wrong

Only you can decide when it's time to pull the ripcord. I recall that in exchange for full price I threw in a service and a differential check. Guy was so happy to get a car in that good a shape ... then he snapped the aerial backing it into his garage. I declined to get that fixed - enough was enough. And it was his, at that point.
